If you are in Mahon or nearby and need a sail repair or other service to your sail. Then we can offer to help you. As Elvstrøm Sails Superyacht Palma service point here in Mahon on Menorca can look at your sail to se if it can be repaired locally or has to be send to our sail loft in Palma.

We dont have our own sail loft here in Mahon, but there are some upholstery companies that can do minor repairs as long its only stitches to be repaired and/or Dacron sailcloth inserted. But larger repairs and repairs where high tech sailcloth needs to be inserted, the sails must be sent to Palma.

If you are a transit sailor, we have a good collaboration with a local cargo company that can ensure that your sail(s) arrive in Palma in 1-2 days at fair prices, and therefore you can often have your repaired sail back in Mahon in 4-5 days, depending on the extent of the repair.

This are the typical damages where some can be repaired locally. The damage clew / sheet corner is often a result of sails not furled enough in. So the unprotected side are constantly exposed of sun.
